Imagine being on your deathbed, after working hard your entire life. Your wife is mourning your upcoming passing; yet secretly looking forward to cashing out your life insurance.. Then as you took your last breath, you said to yourself: “I wish I could've Worked More!”
If you think this is ridiculous, I absolutely agree with you. In their last days, people often wish that they had spent more time with their friends and family, visiting New places, and so on. Therefore, if your future self may have regrets for not spending enough quality time with yourself and your loved ones, Then why not do it now?
Here are Five important reasons Why Traveling is Good For You. I'm your Hot Sexy host, ThaHaitian ; living his soft guy era. Anyways, enough rambling; let's get started with our list.
Stress Relief
You work way too hard, not to treat yourself with a long overdue vacation. It's a great way to relax somewhere on a beach, cabin or a homestead for a week or two as you ignore calls from your boss. You have just a few itineraries so as to not be overwhelming. And then you simply let the outside world burn for all you care.
I understand that planning a vacation in itself can be stressful for some. Perhaps a lack of funds, or anxiety from traveling. But all of that can be manageable. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post about this topic, Managing Vacation Stress.
Being Inspired & Motivated
Two things that tend to happen when your vacation is coming to an end. Either you are sad that you have to go back to a life that sucks. Or you are now motivated to work on changing your life so it doesn't suck. I fall under the second category.
Everytime I go on Vacation, I get motivated to improve my life. After a Trip abroad, I would write down my goals, and check them off as I accomplish them before I take on my next vacation. It keeps me disciplined and fulfilled each time I check them off the box. Each year my finances get better, and I strive to become a better human being.
Appreciate Your Privilege
There has been an anti-American sentiment for a while now, most of which came from native born Americans. Most Americans don't realize how good they have it. As a Haitian-American, I know what it's like living in a 3rd world country.
I believe if most Americans get the chance to travel abroad and experience life outside of the Tourist bubble, and interact with the local population. It would be such a humbling experience for them. They would appreciate life in America a whole lot more.

Experience Other Cultures
And Tradition
What makes the world so beautiful is not Uniformity. But rather a Diversity of Thoughts, Cultures and Traditions. My travels abroad had broadened my horizons when it comes to food, languages, and music.
I now go to Polish parties and Sing along to Disco Polo. I introduced my family to pierogi and gołąbki and other cuisine my sister often referred to as “White People Food”. Ach, she's such a picky lass. I enjoy British comedy, German beer, and Belizean food. All of which are possible due to my Travels.
Creating Everlasting Memories
The most important thing about traveling is creating memories, especially with your loved ones. The stories that you get to tell your friends and co-workers, the lives you've impacted; these are priceless.
I will never forget the embarrassment on my daughter's face As I started singing the Polish National anthem on the Balcony of our Airbnb. Or celebrating my mother's 72nd birthday in Belize. I will forever be grateful for the time spent with the people that I care about.
Conclusion
Life is more than just a paycheck. It's more than just the hurt that you've endured, the childhood trauma. It's more than the anxiety of an uncertain future.
Life is Love, Life is Joy, Pain and Pleasure. Most importantly, Life is What you Make it. Why not then Make it about Living. Make it #ThatHubLife.
Thank you for your time
